  • Day 1: Lake Taupō + Māori Rock Carvings Cruise

    Marvel at the breath-taking geothermal scenery, stunning waterfalls and World Heritage-listed forest reserves, as you drive from the south of Auckland located in the centre of New Zealand’s north island lies the largest freshwater lake in Australasia. A land of fire and ice, Lake Taupō, a stunning natural cauldron, is ringed by snow-capped mountains, and surrounded by geothermal ‘hot spots’, such as bubbling mud pools, fumaroles and hot springs.

    A popular attraction is the Māori rock carvings on the cliffs of Mine Bay. These can only be accessed by water so lake cruises are a great way to explore them. Towering 14 metres above the waters of Lake Taupō, the Māori rock carvings have become one of the biggest tourist attractions in the north island of New Zealand. Cruise to the popular Māori Rock carvings while enjoying the inspiring scenery that unfolds around you.     Day 2: Cape Kidnappers Gannet Safari Experience + Art Deco Walking Tour

    Stop At: Gannet Safaris Overland Ltd, 396 Clifton Road, Hawke's Bay 4172, New Zealand
    Visit Cape Kidnappers the world’s largest, most accessible mainland gannet colony. Ride in style and comfort over picturesque Cape Kidnappers Station in air-conditioned 4 x 4 vehicles – traversing riverbeds, broad rolling pastures, through stands of native bush, steep gullies and breath taking views. The birds can be seen from September to April. In September they return and build their nests ready for the arrival of the chicks during December and January. There is a stop on the way at a spectacular cliff top with panoramic views of Hawke Bay right across to the Mahia Peninsula. The amazing geology of the area can also be taken in. The 36km, three hour trip includes commentary by your tour guide on the farming operation of Cape Kidnappers Station and an introduction to the gannets. Included is a coffee or tea at the colony.

    On return, experience Napier’s Art Deco heritage. Visit the world famous sights, suburbs, buildings and landmarks of our town.
    Take a walk back in time with a guided walking tour. Your local guide will tell you stories of the earthquake that destroyed the city and the remarkable recovery and rebuild that was completed in less than two years.
    Your guide on this tour will give you fascinating insights into Napier and the Art Deco style. Concludes with a short film and complimentary tea and coffee.

    Day 3: Huka Falls + Honey Tasting Tour

    Stop At: Huka Falls Rd, Taupo, Hinuera New Zealand
    We start from Napier on our way back to Auckland. As we again pass through Taupo, Just in 10 minutes’ drive from Taupō town centre, along a beautiful forest-clad road that passes the world-famous luxury resort, you’ll hear the Huka Falls well before you see them – it’s the sound of nearly a quarter of a million litres of water per second erupting from a natural gorge and thundering 11m into the Waikato river below. This incredible waterfall is the most-visited natural attraction in New Zealand – it’s hard to tear your gaze away from the endless, mesmerising torrent.
